Ockegham

This is part of a marvellous series devoted to Ockeghem (d1497) by this group. These Mass performances, though, are too fast to be expressive. We must listen, instead, to the brilliant duetting in the Missa Cuiusvis Toni, and to the architectural performance of its Gloria, to understand why it defeats the rival recording by the Capella Almire (reviewed August 1997).
