Bartok/Janacek: Concerto for Orchestra; Sinfonietta

Plenty of the expected virtuosity and attention to detail from this orchestra; expert recording, too. But little indication that Previn has thought about much more than orchestral razzle-dazzle; structural control and even wit are in short supply. If you want this coupling, try Ancerl on Supraphon at mid-price. And if you do prefer the budget-price Previn, beware: shops are still selling the original 1988 disc at full price. Keith Potter
