Bruckner: Symphony No. 4

Here is another fine Bruckner performance from Böhm and the VPO. His account of the Fourth Symphony, which is characteristically free from eccentricity, marvellously captures the profound stillness of this music. Sound quality and balance are superb in a compelling account which, for many, could prove to be the most desirable recording of this piece. Nicholas Rast
