Collection: The Triumphs of Maximilian

This disc focuses mainly on music by Heinrich Isaac and Ludwig Senfl, both of whom were employed at the resplendent court of Maximilian I. Performance styles have changed considerably since the imaginative scorings of this 1972 recording, but the quality of the musicianship is unfailingly high, with singers of the calibre of James Bowman, Philip Langridge, Martyn Hill and Geoffrey Shaw, and a fine line-up of instrumentalists.
