Ravel, Debussy, Milhaud & Poulenc

Since Février’s name was indelibly associated with the music of Poulenc, it’s apposite that this fascinating set should feature a generous helping of his close friend’s piano works, as well as the classic recording of the Double Piano Concerto. Equally interesting is Février’s sinewy account of Ravel’s Left Hand Concerto which projects the emotional depth of the work to far greater effect than many recent, better engineered versions.
