Schubert: Night songs

Overshadowed for too long by his solo Lieder, Schubert’s partsongs are at last coming into their own. Some listeners may prefer the closer focus of small ensembles such as Die Singphoniker; but Marcus Creed’s RIAS Kammerchor give eloquent performances of these hand-picked Night Songs, with a little help here and there from fortepiano and soloists.
