Kundun

Philip Glass’s music for Kundun is predictably pulsating, but it’s miserably dull listened to without Scorsese’s pretty pictures. Glass is still mired in minimalism: in the score to Gattaca there are faint signs that Michael Nyman may be tiring of this game, and reaching back to melody.
