Tallis: Puer natus est nobis Mass

The Chapelle du Roi (a British group) have a fresh, clean sound – a standard virtue in early music performance. But their moving, virtuosic control of dynamic shading is new: it transfigures the overlapping textures of the Agnus Dei from the Puer natus est nobis Mass and even excuses the slight shrillness of Suscipe quaeso.
