Wilton

Nicholas Wilton’s 14 short motets take their harmonic language straight from the 16th century. Expressive suspensions abound, but polyphony does not, bringing them within the range of most parish choirs. Simple but effective music, beautifully sung – except the unfortunate solo Panis angelicus. Janet Banks
