He-Ol

TRIDERIDOO, misleadingly packaged with an Oceania label, is a trio of French students doing their thing with the didg. From their street-theatre experience they have evolved a kind of contemporary music that stands up to disc-long exposure. The basis is dance, with elements of drum-and-bass or more basic pulses plus assorted drones and overlays. Longer tracks turn into processionals and storytelling in sound, ending with a substantial if rather cod-outback soundscape. You will either love it or hate it, and it’s guaranteed to be raided for samples.
