The Ocellus Suite

The Ocellus Suite

The Ocellus Suite has been composed by Martin Kiszko as an accompaniment to the BBC’s Alien Empire. He wanted to avoid doing a ‘musically banal portrait of the insect world’, and aimed for an instrumental palette which would reflect its dramas. He listened a lot to Bernard Herrmann scores, and the result is an agreeable pastiche, but not much more.
